ARrrg

I'm frustrated.

We're sick.

I'm sick. (Though, apparently I'm not. I'm the one who's had the sore throat for 5 days but the only one who doesn't "register" as sick.)

KJ and Cheeks now both have tonsilitis, plus a sinus infection for miss cheeky boo. And Lil'D STILL has a freakin' ear infection. He started off with amoxicillin, then moved to augmentin (which made is poor lil butt cheeks raw) and then Zithromax. He is still technically on Zithromax, but his ear is still red and infected looking. So now, the Urgent care doc has put him (them all) on Cefprozil. Never heard of it. BETTER FREAKIN WORK!

YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK.

I'm just so frustrated that my baby is not getting better. I'm interested in trying anything at this point. Do I squeeze garlic juice/oil into his ears, I'm planning to make a chiropractor appt for him on Monday. Anyone have any ideas? I'm open to ALL suggestions (except ear candles, he's too little and WAY too squirmy).

Darn. I hear someone crying. Time to go.

  1. When I was a little-little boy (>2 years old) I had pain around my ears and the doctors used to think that I had an infection. After being observed and treated, they realized that all I had was pain because my teeth in the back of my jaw were growing.

Kids are strong. Much stronger than what we normally think.

Hope you all get well soon.

  2. Oh sweetie. I am so sorry your kids are sick. Here is what I would use for my Victoria when her ears just wouldnt get better. This recipe is straight from an ear doctor specialist that had been in the ear business for over 25 years.

    1) 1/3 Isopropyl Alcohol (90%) -- (Dries ear)
    2) 1/3 Hydrogen Peroxide -- (Kills bacteria)
    3) 1/3 5% White Vinegar -- (pH kill's fungi)

Take a total measurement of these 3 ingredients then calculate 5% of the total volume and add:

    4) 5% of total volume -- Glycerine -- (Emollient so skin does not dry out)
